Frequently asked questions
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How does ordering work — is it table service?
+
You order at the counter, then find a seat. Your food and drinks come to you. No waiting in line for your name to be called, no hovering near a pickup window. Just order, settle in, and we'll find you.
Do you take reservations?
+
We're walk-in only — no reservations, no waiting list. Every seat is first-come, first-served. If you're coming with a group, mornings and early lunch tend to be the easiest time to find space. Planning a private event or need catering? That's a different conversation — [link to catering page].
What coffee do you serve?
+
We use Intelligentsia Coffee — a Chicago-based direct-trade roaster that works directly with farmers rather than buying through commodity channels. You'll find a full espresso program: lattes, macchiatos, cortados, cold brew, nitro, pour-over, and drip. The beans change seasonally as Intelligentsia brings in new harvests, so what's in your cup in March isn't exactly what was there in October.
Is this just a coffee shop, or do you serve real food?
+
The kitchen runs from the moment we open until 9 PM. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner — all from a scratch kitchen. Bowls, grain plates, sandwiches, burgers made with Greater Omaha beef, salads, and a rotating seasonal menu. A lot of people come in for coffee and end up staying for a meal. That's kind of the point.
Do you have options for dietary restrictions?
+
Yes. The menu includes gluten-friendly options, vegetarian dishes, and vegan choices — and most things can be modified if you ask. The kitchen cooks with extra virgin olive oil and beef tallow rather than seed oils. We can't guarantee zero cross-contact for severe allergies, so if you have serious dietary needs, it's worth calling ahead or asking the team when you arrive.
Do you serve alcohol?
+
Beer and wine at most locations — local craft beers on draft and wine by the glass. Brooklyn is the only location with a full bar: cocktails, spirits, the whole thing. Beer and wine everywhere else. If you're heading to a specific location, the location page has the current list.
Can I work from here — do you have Wi-Fi?
+
We have free Wi-Fi and plenty of outlets. During breakfast and lunch rushes, we'd ask that you be mindful of guests waiting for tables — this is a neighborhood cafe first. Weekday mid-mornings and afternoons tend to be the quietest stretches if you're planning to settle in for a while.
